Looking for a new customer service career. Then join us as a Relay Officer. If you have a genuine interest in helping people and giving back to the community this is the role for you. You will actively listen and provide a great customer experience through text and phone-based communication, providing a solution for people who are deaf or have hearing or speech difficulties.
Key Role Details:
- Commencement date: 3rd March 2025
- Operating hours: Monday-Friday 7am to 9pm
- Location: Brisbane Delivery Centre
- Pay Rate: $25.80 + penalty and superannuation
- Training: 2 weeks full time paid training
- Offering Permanent, Full Time & Part Time
- Skills and suitability based opportunities in future, to move to hybrid role, including overnight and or weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a solution for people who are deaf or have hearing or speech difficulties.
- Responsible for frontline customer service accessible to all users by methods such as telephone, TTY, email, fax and SMS and any other means available.
- Ability to deal with highly confidential information, including sensitive situations.
- The ability to engage and build rapport with customers/clients over a wide-ranging demographic.

Who are you?

- Have the ability to complete background and police checks
- Confident and capable in using computers and systems
- Excellent communicator with a strong command of the English language both verbal and written
